Expansion and transition

Terje GunnulfsenThis has been an eventful and exciting year for the group. The main events have undoubtedly been the merger between InfoCare and Powermill, and the acquisition of the Strax bankrupt estate, which was carried out during the summer. Through these transactions we have made a strong contribution to changing the Nordic market for ICT services and we have created a company with a clear and strong position in the market.

Through the year we also secured many large and important contracts. Today, we are an even better partner for our clients, because we, as a result of our size, can offer competitive prices, a broad range of services, and a unique competence profile within all leading brands and technologies. In addition, we are located in 75 different locations in the Nordic and Baltic region, which means that we are close enough to relate to, and understand, our clients’ needs.

Within our market, a continual focus on client needs, as well as an ability to quickly adapt to the market changes that arise, is crucial. We are constantly dependent on our clients’ trust in the qualifications and skills of our employees and their ability to solve problems in a changeable world. This is why our 2,500 employees are our most valuable asset.

The merger between InfoCare and Powermill and the acquisition of Strax further established our position, both in the Nordic, Baltic and European service market, which is characterised by increasing competition. The merger of three significant companies makes possible an industrialisation of all aspects of the group’s activities, which is necessary in order to be able to handle increased international competition and increased expectations from our clients.

We have worked quickly and efficiently, and we have initiated a comprehensive and far-reaching integration and transition process, which in 2007 naturally had a negative impact on the group’s profitability in terms of non-recurring costs and temporary loss of production. The structural changes carried out give us a solid strategic and industrial foundation for extensive future growth and improved profitability once the integration is completed and benefits are realised. Our goal is to establish a profitability level in line with the best players in the European market through coordination, economies of scale, and a reduced cost base.

2008 will be an exciting year. We have proven our capacity to expand, integrate, and improve new activities – and create value thereby. In a market with continuously increasing competition we rely on our employees to continue their outstanding efforts to make InfoCare the preferred supplier and partner for our clients in the future as well. Together we will succeed, through a sound and responsible management of the group’s strong position in the Nordic market.
