CSR has been an important cornerstone to InfoCare right from the beginning. As a company aspiring to be regarded as "a good citizen", InfoCare complies with local legislation as well as global regulations like the United Nations Declaration of Human rights and the ILO convention. Within our branch of business we strive to contribute by supporting society and its progress in a positive direction beneficial to people and all aspects of our common environment. InfoCare only participates in operations and activities which agree to public reviews and an open debate.

People make the difference

The value of skilled employees has always been highly recognized .The link between well-being and well-behaving forms the background to our extensive internal communication and dialogue between management and staff. Given true understanding of customers’ needs, market demands and our challenges each employee will be prepared to participate in fulfilling our goals, satisfy our customers and act in the spirit of "a good citizen".

Constant challenges as steps tones for progress

By various activities we constantly strive to reduce the negative environmental effect s inevitably caused by a travelling service organisation like ours. Strict coordination and execution of numerous service calls within certain geographical areas made it possible for us - long before Green IT became an issue - to reduce a lot of the negative effects from travelling and at the same time bring major efficiency and cost reduction to the end customer. Today an effective dispatching helps us optimize the coordination of onsite service calls, bring fuel consumption down and reduce CO2 emissions.

The Swedish field service organisation has since 2001 been certified by ISO 14001 and all Nordic organisations are in the process of being certified during 2009. Within our strictly formulated environmental processes we got defined goals which are regularly measured and communicated within the company.

A "green" company offering "GreenIT services"

Green IT isn’t a certain area of offerings and services – our goal is to mark all our services with a Green label. By active use of modern technique, we continuously develop new service offerings and change our delivery processes in order to meet increasing environmental demands - with at least equal or increased functionality to customers. As a part of our environmental and quality processes each new service is, before released, evaluated and approved and all aspects of environmental influence are identified and cleared.

Our main service offering concept - InfoCare Lifecycle Services involve several opportunities to build solid and environmentally positive processes and at the same time ensure daily access to the overall IT-function. Old equipment can be handled with environmental concern regardless if it’s reconditioned, resold or disposed in cooperation with recycling companies.

We also offer environmental analysis services which results in suggested arrangements with focus on how to reduce energy consumption with an unchanged or improved IT function.

Act as you teach

To be trustworthy all our efforts and goals have to be visible, measured and communicated to all employees. InfoCare have several internal activities to save energy, act with responsibility and grow the operation, still in an environmentally positive direction.

Yearly improvementsby reduction of CO2 emission, energy and fuel consumption

A common group policy where efficient use of telephone- and web meetings replaces the major part of physical meetings has resulted in considerable reductions of internal travelling. Lower CO2 emission, lower fuel consumption and lower travel expenses!

Education is another area where travelling can be heavily reduced without any negative effects in connection to quality. Education via Internet – through web sites offering e.g. technical training and certifications is a major CO2 reduction alternative, considering the extensive amount of travels which can be avoided in a staff with more than 2,500 employees all over the Nordic area.

Our environmental thinking of course include strict regulations for handling all waste regardless if its batteries, light bulbs, paper, toner cassettes, used equipment or spare parts.
