Terje Gunnulfsen is leaving InfoCare
Terje Gunnulfsen informed the board of directors at InfoCare that he wishes to resign his position as group CEO for personal reasons. The board has accepted Terje's decision and has already started searching for his successor.
Terje Gunnulfsen has been employed at InfoCare since 1998. He spent his first years as chief financial officer, taking over as CEO in 2005.
”This decision was very difficult for me to make. I made my decision to leave the company with mixed emotions. This company has been an important part of my life the last 11 years. I feel I made the right decision after considering all aspects of the situation. There is a right time for everything,” Terje Gunnulfsen said.
The board of directors at InfoCare wants the company to run normally and under good leadership during the transition period, and has therefore agreed with Terje to stay in his position until the new CEO is in place.
”The board has accepted Terje's decision to leave InfoCare. The company has doubled its market share under Terje's leadership and positioned itself as the undoubted leader of its trade in the Nordic region. The company underwent a number of reorganizations during this period, and improvements have been made to operations which we now begin to see the result of. Last year profit improvements were significant. We wish to thank Terje for his many years of service and leadership. We are satisfied with our decision to keep Terje as CEO until his successor is in place,” says chairman of the board for the group, Per-Arne Sandström.
Terje Gunnulfsen will continue as an active owner of InfoCare even after his resignation.
”I have great faith in InfoCare and its future. InfoCare has a unique market position, competent staff, professional and talented leaders and owners who are actively working to develop the company. Even though I leave my position, I will continue to be a fervently shareholder” Terje Gunnulfsen said.
