Strax Service Systems AS (Strax) went into bankruptcy on the 5th of June 2007. As a result, Elkjøp, the major client of Strax, has entered into a new Nordic service agreement with Powermill. With immediate effect, Elkjøp will route all service activities to Powermill, which will use InfoCare as its subcontractor in Norway.
In order to be able to serve larger volumes, Powermill has bought the Danish spare parts and equipment from Strax bankruptcy estate. The Norwegian spare parts and equipment has been bought by InfoCare. Financial items like trade payables and receivable is not a part of the agreement. The takeover is active from the 5th of June with retroactive effect.
In Norway, Strax had three departments; Oslo with 60 employees, Trondheim with 20 employees and Haugesund with 20 employees. In Demark Strax was present with a workshop in Taastrup (Copenhagen) with 55 employees. It is our intention to continue the activity at these units and most of the employees are offered new employment in Powermill Denmark and InfoCare Norway.
Strax business in Finland is not a part of this agreement, but Elkjøp will now route all service activities to Powermill in Finland.
