The merger between Powermill Group and InfoCare now approved
The European Commission has approved the earlier announced merger between InfoCare AS and Powermill Service Group AB.
The merger will create a Nordic and Baltic service partner which will guarantee customer’s demand of high quality and provide expertise in increasingly complex and sophisticated products and services. Powermills modern concept for the digital home and InfoCare’s well established Nordic corporation within IT-services was the rationale behind joining the two businesses.
The new company will be branded InfoCare. The operative structure aims to support a strong focus on two important customer and market areas – Professional Services offering services within the business-to-business market as well as for public sector and Consumer Services in order to meet the specific requirements of the consumer market.
Terje Gunnulfsen CEO of InfoCare, commenting on the merger:
” The two companies fit well together and complement each other on several areas. The merger will allow us to firmly establish ourselves in the Nordics within the increasingly competitive European services market. The merger will also allow for an industrialisation of the corporations which is required in order to meet with growing competition and rising customer demands. By retaining the servicing in the domestic markets we will cut the turnaround time for our customers. The merger will also results in geographical synergies and strengthen the presence in the Nordic and Baltic countries.”
InfoCare offers a comprehensive spectrum of services – workshop repairs and delivery services as well as on-site-services from our 70 Nordic service points. The new company is represented in Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Finland and Estonia with a total of more than 2 300 employees.
